Heritage Architecture and Sustainable Reuse
Baker Garden Architects have completed many heritage projects with sensitivity and respect. Our projects have won awards for the adaptive re-use of heritage buildings. These projects involve working closley with engineers to incorporate earthquake strengthening and the integration of new modern services.
Compliance upgrades to meet modern building standards are a necessary part of the process and can pose many challenges.
As a practice we take much pride in seeing old buildings come to life again with a new contemporary heart. We love the challenge of the marriage of the old with the new. Our experience enables us to ensure that the alterations and upgrades are sensitive to and respect the age and character of the buildings.

BGA have been the Architects for the restoration of both 205 Princes Street and the Standard Building.
